SUMMARY: The DS4 Solar Hiker marks our first-ever triple-brand collaboration — a project that brings together Vaer, Topo Designs, and Worn & Wound to create something rugged, functional, and unmistakably unique.
At its core, the Solar Hiker is an everyday adventure watch. It pairs a 38mm field-watch-inspired design with a 200m-rated dive case and a solar-powered movement, built to perform anywhere from the backcountry to the city.
We’ve been longtime fans of Topo Designs — their heritage-inspired packs and outdoor gear have been part of our own adventures for years. Worn & Wound has also been a meaningful part of our story — we’ve worked alongside their team, had many of our watches reviewed on their site, and joined them at their iconic Windup Watch Fairs.
This watch includes three straps total, as well as a custom Topo Collab Travel Pouch (Retail $39). The two default straps are single-pass, velco Topo straps in two distinct colors. The third strap is selected by the customer.Â
